  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was a really enjoyable day, all the events they had organised were useful and engaging- particularly the negotiating challenge!

    • Very helpful and willing to answer any questions both on the day and in the future, it felt like they cared about helping us to succeed in law

    • So much information and assistance, plus further webinars later on in the year, everyone was very helpful and willing to explain

    • Very. Lots of short talks on applications/commercial awareness interspersed with meetings with actual employees

    • Very willing to answer personal queries and the group was small enough to enable this on the day as well

    • Talking with trainees and lawyers helped a lot to get a feel for the firms atmosphere

    • The trainee I was partnered with was very clear and helpful about explaining what it was like at the firm and throughout the day the firms ethos was embedded in everything

    • Whilst I am still undecided it helped me realise that commercial law was a strong contender

    • Not automatically but if you emailed and asked then travel expenses were reimbursed

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • This was the main focus of the day, with speed networking and lunch with trainees, plus work shadowing

    • Very helpful

    • We were told about the facilities that A&O has to offer but little about the pro bono work or anything else

    • Definitely, even if they were unsure whether law was for them it was very helpful and a useful experience
