    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The Graduate Recruitment team at Allen & Overy did a fantastic job in providing a wonderful, 360 degree snapshot of life within a City law firm. From networking opportunities to other planned activities and events, everything was planned meticulously and provided a wonderful glimpse into the firm and the people whom work there. The department to which I was assigned and the buddy provided to me on day 1 - were also fantastic in ensuring I attained not only a warm welcome, but enquired daily that everything was running smoothly and that any and all work was explained in-depth. Feedback was always attainable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Even though my insight was short (one and a half weeks) everyone I spoke to was genuinely interested in me as an individual. At no time did I feel unwelcome or undervalued.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Throughout all stages of the insight support and guidance was provided. Insight talks were provided by Graduate Recruitment and Senior Partners / Associates on a host of different topics. Support was also always on hand when it came to work provided within my department. Tasks were thoroughly explained and I was always informed that if I had any issues or queries to always just ask questions I had. This supportive culture is further entrenched as a result of the firms open-door policy.
