The Role
So far it is the best year of my life, its great. Learning and using high level applications such as SCCM and Citrix. Placements in the UK would never of let me touch these sort of systems
Every member of staff working in the same department actually ask and allow me to interact with daily / weekly / monthly projects which normally i would of just had to sit, listen and watch.
Any issues or problems they are sorted straight away by anyone who is told, any one is willing to give support or advice.
I have a lot of work to do but not too much, it also depends on the time of the year etc...
I have a small RDG (research and development group) to run.
Everything i have learnt / is going to learn. will help me in seeking my job after i graduate. also help decide my option in my final year of study.
The Company
Always exciting, new system or applications to use and test. a perfect job for a geek.
no problems, was given advice of what and when to do, from the off when i accepted the position.
gave me a overlap of my predecessor of a week, to follow and learn everything i needed to know. Gave me one to one with other staff to teach me the necessary skill when needed.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
it is only offered to students, not much of a chance of gaining employment after graduating.
The Culture
there are 5 other positions for other placement students, also other students from other countries came to the EUI. Awsome times.
i pay for what is necessary to enjoy and have a good time.
Clubs, bar and restaurants everything what is needed to have a good night out.
Got a extra job at the student bar (for a laugh) and social clubs after work
