  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was exactly the right job for me, given lots of responsiblity in an area i enjoy.

  • Without my input, the team would struggle. It was made clear from the start that i was on the same level as any other employee.

  • I had a good manager who acted as a mentor throughout my placement.

  • Extremely busy around the month end period but quieter during the middle of a month.

  • Trusted with high amounts of Responsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Hugely, i have learn't the general do's and don's of the workplace whilst gaining real valuable finance knowledge.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I work in a young exiting team and socialise with them both inside and outside the office.

  • I had no problems myself but the hiring of my replacement was a little rushed.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Courses can be taken in almost anything through the 'learning@Xerox' website. Also all employees must complete a lean 6sigma course.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing, and there is a real chance of returning. There is a sponsorship scheme set up to retain the best students.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • With around 60 students at Xerox in Uxbridge there is a fantastic social scheme. Everyone moves nto university halls for the first 2 months.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cheap considering how close to London it is, but not compared to what i am used to in Birmingham.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Uxbridge itself is ok with a few decent pubs and one club (Liquid), However it is very easy to get to surrounding areas such as Cetral london, Kingston etc...

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, With so many other students and a young team, there were always things to do.
