    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very good introduction to the industry and set me up perfectly before beginning second year at uni.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Every member of staff I met were kind and offered to help me or to take me out on site and the managers liked to have a chat with me so make sure everything was going well

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Yes, they all were very supportive and made sure that I experienced specific things that I told them id like to know more in.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Relatively busy. If I hadn't had anything to do at some time id sort out my placement diary.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not much because I hadn't had barely any experience before so I preferred to take a back seat too take it all in. But next time I'll be more confident in taking responsibilities.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Extreamly helpful. I couldn't recommend anything else to support your degree as everything makes much more sense. And you see that there is a reason in doing all the university work.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Nice and friendly. Everyone were very kind and met great characters.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Quite organised. But I think I'd like more notice next time where I'll be placed because it was quite shorty notice that I'd be moving away from home.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They invested a lot of time in making sure I got a good whole experience with them

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Travel loan

    1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Excellent as they have offered me a two year contract after graduating.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Not really because I had to travel far and there weren't any other students doing what I was doing there.

    1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was normal I would say

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not great because it wasn't a place with a great nightlife

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes we went out for food a few times and some drinks. But not that many times

    3/5
