  • I loved it.

  • I was lucky to be very well supported by several members of my team and always had guidance when I required it.

  • It could vary depending on which project I was working on but for the most part I was busy.

  • Had to create presentations to be used by senior directors.

  • I learnt skills specific to the job that are not at all part of my degree.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great atmosphere. Very cohesive and supportive teams.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was well structured. Training at the beginning followed by project work culminating in a presentation. Also lots of networking events and time to visit other divisions.

  • Lots of time spent with people from different divisions in order to gain a broad knowledge of banking.

  • Very. There seems to be much opportunity to progress to senior levels.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • It was great, both at work events and those arranged separately. Lots of the BAML interns live together which also creates a good environment.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Not too expensive considering that it is London.

  • Brilliant. The City is a fun place to go out.

  • I was invited to lots of events by members of my own team and the teams in which friends worked.
