  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The internship was overall a great experience. A variety of tasks and extremely steep learning curve.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everybody was extremely friendly and approachable. Was really an opportunity to find out about the person as well besides the role.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Lots of guidance from HCM, buddies etc. during the program to make sure that it is a great experience for everyone.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy during the internship. However, the more time you put in, the greater the reward afterwards and it certainly paid off in terms of the experience I had.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given full responsibility for the assigned projects, which after successful completion were either used as an exercise or as a tool for the desk, which is great.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Extremely useful skills ranging from technical skills all the way to soft skills.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The trading floor is very busy and there is a lot going on at all times. For me that is what I am looking for.

  • Extremely well organized and planned. Lots of events, talks, educational sessions etc.

  • Lots of great speakers and training at the beginning. Extremely useful throughout the program.

  • Great place to work; everyone is very driven and ambitious.

  • Very collaborative atmosphere and teamwork.

  • London is a very expensive place so both high costs.

  • Nightlife good.

  • Many things to get involved in. During the internship there is limited time so need to find a balance.
