The Role
Internship in the Merchant Banking Division (MBD). Highly motivated, competent and inclusive team.
The MBD being a small team, you interact with practically everybody there and while the tone is a very professional one, it is easy to feel at home.
Nobody is ever too busy to stop and explain something. Having said that, you are often thrown into the deep end, left to explore for yourself first.
Very dynamic and high intensity work environment, long hours. If you are interested in what you are doing, time flies by though.
For a banking internship, you get a lot of responsibility. In the beginning, they will take you by the hand and increase your autonomy as you prove that you can handle things.
Skills required for Banking and PE, so very relevant for the respective fields.
The Company
Professional but friendly
Very well organised, everything is cared for by HR. Staffers pay attention to expose you to as many of the typical tasks as possible
Co-workers are always happy to explain things, the occasional workshop teaches more academic/technical stuff
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
International Travel
Healthcare from home
Got an offer.
The Culture
Friendly co-workers and -interns, many coffees, lunches/dinners and the occasional beer.
London is expensive. You dont have a lot of time to socialise outside work either, unless you live with your friends.
London has a lot to offer!
Depends on how active you are. If you are one to sleep after work and on weekends, chances are you wont experience much outside of the office.
