The Role
This placement was so enjoyable! I actually got to make a difference in the firm during my short time there which really exceeded my expectations!
Tremendously. I developed a system used by a large number of people within the firm.
To a great extent. My manager had weekly review meeting with me to make sure I was on track at all times.
I was quite busy although I was allowed to set my own schedule.
Quite a lot. I was lead on a two projects and an instrumental part of 3 more projects.
Throughout the entire placement I went on a number of training camps and also gained at lot of "on the job" training. This practical experience certainly provided me with writing material for final year at University.
The Company
It was very laid back, more than I was anticipating.
Very, We had a dedicated placement officer and she worked tremendously hard to keep everything organised.
Loads. I was even given the day off to attend tech trade shows and events.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
Healthcare/Dental
Travel loan
I got a full-time offer!
The Culture
Yes, there were a number of other placements students at the firm and we all socialised quite a bit.
Cost of living in Central London is crazy! Most expensive place I have ever been. Rents are astronomical.
I really didn't partake in the nightlife as that isn't my thing. I did enjoy the IMAX cinema just down the road though!
We did charity work which was great
