  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • At the beginning of the placement I was getting bored fairly often as they were unsure of my skill set. However after a month in the team began to trust me with more and more jobs which gave me enough time to learn the the tasks in hand as well as work shadow my manager.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • To be honest there wasn't loads of responsibility placed on me but i was never expecting there to be. I was just a placement year student who was learning the trade. However as the project started to enter the critical path more responsibility was placed upon me due to the need to meet the deadline.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The Health and Safety training has been incredibly useful to me this year as I have a module based upon this and I am sure what I learnt will really help me in achieving a high mark. I now understand the industry more than I ever anticipated and the placement year really helped me grasp teamwork is essential for my project work.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere in my office during my placement year. All of the team worked well with each other and seemed to genuinely get a long with one another which I feel is crucial when it comes to teamwork. The team knew how to enjoy themselves at work whilst carrying out the task in hand and had a good balance between professionalism and friendship.
