The Role
I absolutely loved my placement at Jones Lang LaSalle. It gave me a proper representation to what job I could expect in the future.
My colleagues were so helpful and showed me how to do tasks to the best of my ability and treated me as if I was apart of their team.
Brilliant support from my supervisor. Constant meetings to tell me how well I was doing and what I needed to improve on for the future weeks. It was really helpful and I was never shy to ask for help.
I was extremely busy. I got given a bit too much for my placement which brought on a lot of stress which was unfortunate but I had a lot of support and managed to complete all the tasks I got set.
I was trusted straight away when I started my placement. I wasn't completely in charge but I was left to my own devices.
The skills I gained during my placement will help me a lot. I am more confident in a working environment and having this experience under my belt is a great advantage to getting a job after my studies.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly to each other and there was never belittling in any way. Stressful at times but that came with the job.
Brilliantly set up. Started with no problems and given clear instructions even before I started.
They gave me to opportunity to work side by side with their best marketing team which was a risk during one of the busiest times of the year but I believe it paid off.
Very appealing. I would love to work in that atmosphere again.
The Culture
Not brilliant but did have a few meals out etc.
I just commuted from my house in Headingley everyday so didn't have to worry about the cost of living and socialising.
I go out often in Leeds and it is an incredible night out with friends.
I didn't get a chance to get involved in any activities as I was so tired after the day of working I couldn't face to do anything else.
