    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The insight was incredibly informative and very interesting from all kinds of aspects. We learned a lot about almost all company divisions and this was instrumental in helping us choose which one to apply to. Overall the insight week was very well structure and organised. Due to the fact that we also had team building and networking activities outside the office it was also very enjoyable for all participants I have spoken to. The only session I did not enjoy and thought was irrelevant was the one on corporate security, however it was very brief and therefore didn't matter.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • We all felt very valued because the HR team took an interest into each and everyone of us. It really seemed like they wanted to know as much as possible before they make any decisions on further steps. The fact that they remembered almost all our names after only the first day showed that they really cared about us. Additionally we were often asked how we were enjoying the sessions and it felt like our on-the-spot feedback was valuable to them.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • We received guidance and suppport were necessary and at least 1 member of the HR team was always available for any questions. There was no question that was left unanswered and if we had any special wishes or requests it seemed like they would try their best to fulfill these. Additionally the HR team also removed a large part of the stress factor by calming us in certain situations.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It has already assisted me in the finance course I started 3 weeks ago at University. After the insight week I had a much broader knowledge of the industry then the rest of my class and was able to contribute exceptionally in many class discussion. Outside of uni the insight week has helped me understand the more about the structure of investment banks and the day-to-day activities. On top of that it has helped me form decisions on my future goals, etc.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • As mentioned above, overall the insight week was very well structure and organised. Due to the fact that we also had team building and networking activities outside the office it was also very enjoyable for all participants I have spoken to. The only session I did not enjoy and thought was irrelevant was the one on corporate security because it felt irrelvant and like a place filler, however it was very brief and therefore didn't matter. The sessions where split up between relatively formal presentations to very interactive activity sessions. The case studies were incredibly interesting and the fact that we had mentors assisting our groups made it very informative.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was more relaxed than expected and despite the fact that all the participants were competitive due to the limited number of spaces for the fast track, it never seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves and was relatively relaxed. I made a few friends that I am still in touch with and that will most probably even be visiting me.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They invested a lot of time and money in all the interactive sessions that we were allowed to attend. This went beyong the HR team simply organizing the sessions, because even very senior employees took the time to educate us on matters of our interest.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • This was one of the most beneficial aspects of the insight week, it was the perfect programme for learning as much as possible about the internals of the company. We learned a lot about the people, culture, etc.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • As mentioned above, the insight week was the single most important event helping me to understand more about the culture. Since most investment banks are very similar it is hard to gain an insight into the various cultures from the outside perspective, so this was really necessary.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • As mentioned previously, it was very helpful because everyone employee took the maximum amount of time to answer any questions we had on potential future choices.
