The Role
I always have enough work and it is interesting.
You are always trusted to do things and helped to integrate into the team.
Support and advise given when asked but sometimes it can be difficult to get a hold of line managers.
Almost always very busy. Never had nothing to do. Sometimes too much to do but usually someone will help out.
I was given a lot of responsibility to run my own placement and get what I wanted out of it. I had my own project and could make my own decisions.
Invaluable skills gained, independance, team work, time management, communication - all will help in later life.
The Company
Everyone was always busy with work, but there was always a light atmosphere and everyone got on very well.
Some training at the beginning of the placement could be improved but overall, it is very well run.
It is generally up to you to get the training you need but at the beginning the company gives you the basics.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
A brilliant company to work for if you enjoy the type of work they offer.
The Culture
Everyone always willing to organise nights out and various events. Happens regularly. Always included in everything.
Living is not too expensive and socialising (if you don't do too much!) is fairly reasonable.
Lots of different places, very varied, always a good night.
If you look in the right places, there are lots of things to do.
