The Role
Very friendly people, the job could get a little repetitive if you let it.
very appreciated, the work i did was acknowledged by my line manager.
very easy to ask questions if you are unsure, encouraged to ask rather than get something wrong.
varies from day to day depending on the project, sometimes very hectic, other times very quiet.
often supervised when performing the manufacture of a large batch. Given the responsibility of the DI water which is very important.
helped with organisation skills, communication, looks very good to a future employer on your cv, but not much chemistry. had to use the work set by uni to keep in touch with my degree.
The Company
always some one to chat to, very friendly atmosphere.
the company takes on a lot of students each year, so pretty well organised.
recieved training on everything I used, as part of health and safety.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Would like to work for Reckitts, there are plenty of different departments to try out too, depending on availability.
The Culture
a lot of students did not socialise as they commuted. I lived in a house of 6 and we all had a great time though.
Rent was quite expensive for the area, but you could look around more than I did.
Not great, very few clubs but improved when the students came back to uni.
Not much, but depends what you are in to. Joined the gym.
