    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was suprisingly good. I enjoyed people, the project I was working on and the whole environment.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I feel it was fine but it was probably possible to use my potential more efficient.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The guidance was on a very high level. I don't have any critical remarks here.

  • Other, less technical, interns were actually very busy but in my case it was quite balanced.

    4/5

  • Quite a lot for a summer intern. Altough I was an associate so I think the responsibility could be even bigger.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It will actually be quite useful because I'm interested in Finance and Market Microstructure so that kind of inside can be very useful.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very positive. I felt like I can talk to everyone and ask as many questions as I want.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The organisation of the internship was very professional.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I have to admit that it seems like the internship is more about developing interns that may become new hires than about geting something from interns work. It was definitely the case of company investing in new/future employees.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Quite appealing. My situation is rather individual because I have many plans for future and at least 2 more years at University but I 'll probably join for another internship next summer.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • It was good.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was London so costs were very high. Fortunately I had a very good salary.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife in London is very active. If You want to party or stay in a nice pub You won't have any problems with that here.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There is a gym and we had few challenges and teamwork events,
