The Role
Lots of variety in the work I was involved in, and felt challenged at times.
- Team/Project leaders took huge interest in the work I and the team were involved in. - Given responsibility from beginning of the placement - Involved with work that made a difference
Support and guidance was always available from managers and rest of the department whenever required. Open door policy meant that I could see any of my seniors whenever I needed any clarification or advice. Regular meetings every month ensured I had the opportunity to discuss any problems and get feedback on my performance/ areas for further development.
Extremely busy at times, working towards deadlines meant I had the opportunity to develop my time management skills.
I was always involved with work that was in line with business needs.
As well as technical and analytical skills, I've developed other skills such as team working, time management. Communication skills improved as I was given the opportunity to give presentations, and often wrote reports on the work I did.
The Company
Everyone was friendly and approachable in the office, and willing to assist at all times.
There is an induction on the first day, where we're shown all the facilities. Training is also very well organised, allowing you to start working with minimal time wasting.
Training given where relevant in areas such as methods of analysis, good manufacturing practise, and others.

Free on-site gym membership Opportunities to do charity work Lots of opportunities to get involved with sports, nights out and barbeques with colleagues. the list is endless.
