  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • It was incredibly well structured. We were given lots of information prior to the placement and during the placement were given lots of information and had a well designed time table.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The firm were very welcoming and the social events, although could have had a better turn out from the trainees (but they are very busy so its understandable), were well organised and fun and well provided for. I felt welcomed by everyone including the partners and everyone wanted you to have a good time.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They helped in terms of future areas of law to go into but the scheme was probably too short to do any significant training and development.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • There was a very good emphasis on what your role would be as a trainee and all the tasks were focused around what you would actually be doing in that role.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • All the presentations and people in a more general way wanted you to understand the company culture and it was definitely easy to ask about it on multiple occassions. Sitting in the departments gave you a really insight into what it was like.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?

  • I was paid.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There was a chance to talk to lots of people at differnt levels of the firm and socialise with them and also you were encouraged to contact or seek out anyone you wanted to talk to.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Lots of fun. The only thing was there was a fairly low turnout of trainees at the evening events but they are all very busy.
