  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • 12 placement students in 3 groups all lived and worked together, good fun.

  • Lots of support, help and enthusiasm available.

  • Lots of support available if you go looking for it, including some world leading individuals in their areas.

  • Management did not push too hard though kept providing food for thought, keeping us on our toes.

  • As a group we essentially managed ourselves, which

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Probably limited. A good insight into the transmission industry as a whole, the future energy network of the UK, and into group and project work. Excel and presentation skills certainly improved!

  • Good, plenty of cakes etc

  • Professionally handelled by the folks in HR from the start.

  • The whole placement is targeted at our development. Realistically, the value to the company of our project was limited, but the value to us much higher.

  • Grad scheme or direct entry available, huge orginisation.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • 12 undergrads living together, cant go wrong there.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Quite dear compared to Uni; much cheaper than London though. Wetherspoons served cheapest beer.

  • Leamington Spa has a club and several bars. Hardly kickin though.
