The Role
Once fully established the role it was really enjoyable.
Always listened to in meetings and given responsility, my ideas were vakued and taken on board.
Given support through great training programmes offered and had a weekly meeting with my manager, however, feedback was vague and it lacked real on the job training.
Generally a very good work-life balance, however, some days were extremely busy, others not so.
I could have been let off the reigns a little bit more, however, generally I was tasked with a certain area of the category and was responsible for it.
Invaluable training was offered and has provided me wityh a very well-rounded CV. Skills such as negotiation and I.T. have been key to the role and will really help me in the future.
The Company
Mondays seemed very intense and the mood was slightly de-moralising (caused by senior managers), however, the team I worked directly with were very good fun and you felt like you could speak to them about absolutely anything.
Not really very organised. I was sent on a store placement for 2 weeks and they didn't know I was coming. There should have been more structured meetings with human resources with a quarterly check up.
A great company to work for in terms of training, offering you every opportunity to drive your own career with many different training courses available.

In order to get a job, upon completion of your placement you must present how you have changed the category you are working on, however, I believe they look to hire people who have worked hard and fitted in well with the values and the team.
The Culture
It was not offered by the company, however, other placement students are generally always very sociable in the week and on weekends with many relocating near the office.
Lived from home and would usually go out in London which is expensive.
The town where the office is situated is very boring and not really to my style, however, London is within easy reach and students nights in surrounding areas are always an option.
