The Role
It was an amazing experience. I had never experienced anything like it and to meet so many great people and learn so many new things was great.
I definitely felt valued by my colleagues. All the work that I done was checked and I felt that they really valued my contributions. It was great to work with them.
I was given a lot of great support and guidance from my manager and my colleagues. Their support made it easier for me to settle in and made coming into work everyday enjoyable.
I was quite busy near the middle of the internship but on the whole I thought it was pretty balanced. I could ask for help when I needed it so I never felt I was stuck on anything for too long.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility. Being responsible for my own projects was a great experience - I never got to do this at university.
The skills developed and the training received were great. I learned a great deal from it and I feel that I can use these skills for the rest of the time I am at University and also in my career.
The Company
The general atmosphere of the office was great. I found that it was a really nice environment to work in and everyone was really friendly.
The internship was organised really well. From the induction at the start of the internship to the events which were organised for the interns, I thought it was very well communicated.
The company definitely invests a lot into personal development. I had a lot of meetings with my manager to discuss my goals and future prospects. This helped me target areas which I needed to improve in and was a great help. The training provided was excellent too.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
I would definitely like to come back to the company after I graduate. I am not totally certain whether I want to stay in education, but if I decide to start work it is definitely a place that I would like to apply.
The Culture
The social scene was excellent. The interns got to know each other during the induction at the start and then we just spent a lot of time together during lunch etc. We also had many socials and other events which were great.
The cost of living was fairly expensive, but it was expected since it was London after all. I think I managed fairly well, though.
The nightlife was brilliant -- lots of choice for everyone and I had fun every time I went out. Definitely recommended.
There were quite a few networking opportunities and also some dinners that I got invited to. These were great to meet new people and they were always fun to go to.
