The Role
It was a great experience and it was nice to take a year out from university to do this. I learned so much and met so many great people.
Throughout my time at the company, I felt that my contributions were always being listened to and that no-one treated me any different. All of the colleagues I came into contact with were really friendly and willing to help.
My manager was great. I got feedback often throughout the year which made it clear to me what I needed to improve on. I always felt that I could talk to my manager about any issues that I had. My colleagues were always there to help.
Near the start of the year, I wasn't too busy, but as the year went on and I was given more responsibility, the work ramped up and I took part in some meaningful projects. It was really fun and the balance of work was great.
I was given an increasing amount of responsibility as the placement year went on. It was a great experience and it gave me a great idea of what it was like calling the shots for a team in a large company.
I have learned so many skills in the past year and it was definitely a worthwhile experience. Not only have I learned new skills, but I have also enhanced my existing skills which will no doubt be of use to me in the future.
The Company
It was a great environment to work. Everyone was always willing to help with any problems and the atmosphere was one of hard working, but it was still pretty relaxed.
The placement was very well organised. Events were organised for the placement students and we got frequent communication from the organisers about things that were coming up and reminders to do things like training.
My manager was a huge help to me. He helped me learn a lot during the placement and gave frequent feedback so I could develop myself personally. Training was provided and this was of excellent quality.

Company Parties/Events
My final feedback from my manager was very positive and I could definitely see myself working here again. It is a great company and the placement year was really enjoyable.
The Culture
The social scene was pretty good. Being a placement year, I would get to see the other placement students quite often so we organised events together. I met some friends for life - definitely worthwhile.
London is an expensive city and I wasn't really used to this at first, but as the year progressed I got the hang of budget management. It really isn't as bad as some people say it is, especially since you are getting paid as well.
Nightlife in London is amazing. Spending nearly the whole year here, I got to try out a variety of bars and clubs with my colleagues and it was a great experience - fun and recommended.
There were a lot of opportunities to get involved. Most of these are organised by the company and were great fun. It was mostly networking opportunities to get to know people from the business and it was definitely worth my time.
