The Role
It was great, much much better than what I'd expected before joining.
I was treated as part of the team, not as if I was just an intern.
I had fantastic support from my manager and the rest of the team. Upon arrival, my team took the time to teach me everything I needed and did not know - for the first few weeks to a month I was only learning new technologies and more advanced techniques - just like a one-to-one private tuition by somebody with 20 years of experience. Excellent!
The days would go by very quickly, whcih means it was great fun and a prefect balance between being too busy and being bored.
I had applications I was in charge of, I became an expert in a certain field and a go-to person for some production issues - people with 10 years of experience were asking me how to fix some issues, just because I knew the application so well.
The skills and training I received will be incredibly helpful throughout my studies and going forward - I have learned so much about project and time management, personal skills, presentation skills, my confidence has grown by a lot. Overall, I am so happy I was able to gain all these skills while being an intern.
The Company
We just stole some croissants from an empty meeting room this morning.
We've had sufficient training and good balance between work placement projects and intern projects.
I felt great support from the firm in terms of picking up new skills - both technical and 'soft' skills.

The Culture
Nice class of interns
Central London is quite expensive, but the team would not let me pay for my drinks, etc. cause I was an intern - that's the rule :-)
Some clubs nearby, but mostly pubs and bars - depends on what you are after.
Lots of opportunities, up to you to take part.
