The Role
It was generally good, but because there wasn't my much to it I wouldn't say it was the best job ever
The staff were really nice even though I was only volunteering, I really felt like I belonged there easily and taken care of
They would come up and check on me every now and then and ensure that I am ok and if there was anything that I needed, it was really helpful
It was just the right amount as I would get a lot of children coming to me at once and then there'll be a time of peace and then the swarm of children come again which is what I preffered
I was in charge of the stand which had a lot of responsibility actually since if I did a mistake then that child data would be messed up and they might not get the correct items which they would need
Well i think it wasn't something that would be useful to my degree but I did learn life skills such as how to communicate with children, how to organise data properly, how to run a system according to others and generally my people skills have got better which I'm proud of
The Company
It was the children sector of the library so expect to see some kids somewhere running around and shouting gleefully
Everything was perfectly organised, everything ran smoothly and I never felt out of place from what I had learned from my training
They were very nice people who wanted me to gain skills and get a written reference letter from them after I had finished so it would help me gets jobs later in life
That can be answered easily because at first I thought I would get a job instantly with them but when I did apply I got rejected because they want staff who are more superior and knowledgable background experience
The Culture
Everyone was friends, they all tried to get me to join in, it was fun and cool hanging around with the staff members
There was no cost at all because it was a walking distance from my house
The nightlife isn't amazing because it's usually quiet
They did get me to join an organisation who wanted young people to do something sporty for 4 weeks so they can get the uk fitter
