About You
Really valuable opportunity to experience both the environment of a commercial law firm in London but also the way in which an American firm operates in the UK. Everyone was very friendly and interested - partners came up to you to introduce themselves and ask how you were getting on - and the opportunity to experience different types of work.
Sat with a partner and given work of real value to do including researching etc. Lots of contact with trainees and worked on some of their tasks with them as well.
Sat with a partner and introduced to everyone sat in the same area of the office. Lots of communication with people and work to do. Able to ask questions whenever you didn't understand something completely.
Extremely valuable insight into the life of a law firm and the work carried out. Knowledge of tasks and experience of being a trainee. Opportunity to improve skills vital for career in law - proof reading, researching with legal databases, legal issues and cases explained.

Informal work experience but opportunity to attend talks and interact with lots of people.
Interactive, met lots of people and undertook a variety of work.
Sat with a partner and introduced to other lawyers. Able to attend talks and introduced to associates and partners from different departments.
Interacted with a wide variety of people and undertook lots of different work. Spoke to trainees extensively about their jobs and experiences.
People took an active interest in you and introduced themselves, asked how you were getting on. Lots of different types of work.
Everything Else
Informal work experience!
Lots of people came up an introduced themselves independently but you were also introduced to everyone else in the department.
Informal work experience but went to lunch in the canteen with trainees and taken out to lunch with other partners.
Informal work experience so not much opportunity
Extremely valuable insight, friendly, variety of work, able to ask questions. Opportunity to learn about other areas, not just where you were sitting.
