  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed the work and the environment. Great experience, best year of uni so far!

  • Felt like I was really part of the team very soon after starting my placement

  • A bit more guidance would have helped but the majority of the time I felt like I had enough support

  • Depended on the time of year. Sometimes extremely busy, other times less so

  • Depended on what projects I was working on. Responsibility definitely stepped up as year progressed

  • Time management, organisational skills I learnt were invaluable and will definitely help in future career/studies

  • Always something going on, never a dull moment

  • Scheme in general way extremely well run although I felt my particular position was lacking slightly

  • Always included in lab training and people were very willing to help you expand your knowledge

  • Limited science opportunities although graduate scheme on the whole has wider opportunities

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Very good, tightly knit placement group and graduates

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Rent very reasonable, socialising slightly above average

  • Leaves a little to be desired but with a good group you can have a good night!
