    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The day would have been very good for 1st years. As a 2nd year who had recently found an internship, a lot of it did not feel very applicable.

    • Everyone was friendly and welcoming.

    • There was appropriate levels of guidance and support throughout

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • As it was only a day, I don't believe that you could take a huge amount away from it. However, it would have been great for first years who are trying to decide what internships to apply for before their penultimate year

    • It was fine and kept to schedule

    • The general atmosphere was okay

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • There was a useful assessment centre simulation. I acted as the assessor as I have been to an AC and have gotten an internship for the summer. But, it was interesting to act as the assessor and helped me to reflect on my previous performance.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • They had graduates there who talked to us about their roles at the business. However, I would have felt quite confused if I did not have a general understanding of banking processes

    • They seem to have a good culture there

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?

    • Both of the days I spent at banks this semester has made me realise that at this point I shouldn't look into banking as a career! That sounds negative but its a very positive thing. Thankfully I have found somewhere where I think I will flourish but you need to go on these experiences to help narrow down what you want to go into!

    • Yes, with some graduates

    • Over lunch mainly

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Not really. The grads sounded like they worked very long hours and didn't talk much about their life outside of work. Would have been good to hear more about that

    • If the friend was in their first year then definitely yes!
