Initially I felt that managers had little or no time to help me start project but after I fed this back to them I went out and did some pioneering research for the factory.

Some more than others but I felt as if all of the people I worked with valued my opinion.

My managers was a very busy, in-demand resource so trying to find the time with him to get some guidance was at times extremely difficult.

Once my work load picked up I definitely felt I was doing a good stint. Always worked more than the contracted 37 hours.

I was project leading a new technology that had never been applied to the industry before and was given full responsibility for communications between our company and international suppliers/contractors.

Trained in lean sigma principles, otherwise just the usual development of soft skills you get in any job.

Where I sat there was always some good conversation and I think every office has the class clown, which made afternoons much more entertaining.

Good to an extent, other placements are set up much better.

Lot's of training given, not much in the wat of personal development.

Have been offered a graduate position which is something I would definitely consider.

Good with a few select placement students, nothing in the way of colleagues. Factory-based social scene is definitely not for the under-40's.

I lived in Norwich and the landlord I found offered an excellent young professionals house share meaning I settled in and made a number of friends outside of work in a short period of time. I also played rugby and had plenty of nights out.

Living in Norwich was probably the best for night life out of all the British Sugar sites. There's quite a few clubs, bars and pubs so pretty much anything you could need.

I had enough time to play rugby and football on a regular basis throughout the year. There is also a large music scene in Norwich as well as a premier league football club and loads of beaches around norfolk in the summer time.
