    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • 5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • 4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Both the HR team and the employees were always willing to help and to answer any questions. Even after I finished the programme I have been in contact with some employees that have continued assisting me.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • During the week I learned a lot about the banking industry and also realised how important are all the things I am learning at uni .

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • What I like the most about this programme was all the opportunities we got to talk to people from the bank. From analysists to MDs everyone was willing to help and we had a lot of networking events both formal and informal that were extremely helpful.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • 5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I really appreciate that the company is organizing this programme as we are not useful to the bank as first year students, so I really feel they are investing in my development as a professional.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • During the week we had the opportunity to ask a lot of questions to full-time employees but we also had work-shadowing with a person in our preferred division. During that time you really get the impression of what it is like to work in BoAML as a full-time employee.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Being in the bank for a week really makes you feel how the relation between the employees is. I realized the structure was pretty flat and comments made by people that had been working in different institutions helped me understand the differences between them all.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • This week has really affected my idea of what I want to do in the future. I know what the different divisions do accurately and I have discovered opportunities that I hadn't even considered before.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Not only did we have the opportunity to meet recent graduates but we also spent a lot of time networking and talking to more senior employees that could tell us about their long and successful careers.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • We had both formal and informal networking opportunities (welcome drinks, lunch, breakfasts, dinner...) and I think they were the most useful thing of the programme as you really get to ask all the questions you may have and know more about the industry and the bank from its employees directly.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • We had the opportunity to meet with different network representatives that told us about activities they are involved with (sports, volunteering...)

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I think the programme is extremely useful to get to know more about the industry. Also if you don't know exactly which division or role would better suit you I would definately recommend to take part in the Spring Week. It is a great opportunity to know like-minded students from all across EMEA and gives you an idea of what a full-time positions would be like.
