The Role
The job was very enjoyable, as i worked in every department of the hotel, enabling me to have a good overview of the whole business
Everyone seem to value my contribuutions and hard work that i put into the job every day.
All management were very helpful and gave me the relevant training i required in each department to be able to manage them
Every day was very different and very busy, nevr a dull moment
I was given a lot of responsibility in every department, starting off learning the basics and then progressing to supervisor and duty manager
I learnt valuable skills such as customer service, communication skills, team working skills which will assist me in my final year of study and also when i come to apply for graduate jobs.
The Company
every member of staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome from the start
overall it was well set up, however i had to cut short time in certain departments due to staffing issues.
There was little training and development in terms of training courses etc. however i was trained on the job which is very valuable.

I lived at home, rent free.
Generally the nightlife in Lancaster is very good with many bars, pubs and 2 major clubs.
I did socialise with many memebrs of staff with nights out in town,
