    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Those were the two most rewarding weeks! It was great to gain technical knowledge, meet very intelligent and ambitious people and work on case studies to improve your own skills!

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Everyone was very welcoming and nice. Even the very senior people had time for us and patiently answered every question we had. It was also great that we received a lot of help from bankers during our projects so we learnt a lot.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • For every single issue there was a person we could approach and I always felt that I had the opportunity to do so because everyone was very open.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • We were not allowed to go on the actual IBD floor but the case studies were very reality- like so we could have a taste of how it works under pressure. It would have been great to see an actual pitch or M&A transaction but that was of course not possible due to compliance.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • I was amazed by how well the insight was structured and organized. It was also incredible that HCM was able to keep to the schedule on the second. We had a great variety of programs, from networking- events to case studies to presentations and speakers. It never got boring!

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • All the participants were very friendly too so it was always fun to chat during lunch time or after work.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Senior bankers had time for us, we were very well taken care of and even got paid! The skills I learnt during this insight will definitely help me in my future career.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Definitely very good experience to gain a real insight because it did turn out quite different than my previous perception of Goldman Sachs.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • What surprised me the most was the Goldman's culture. I was worried whether people there would be arrogant or ignorant but I noticed the complete opposite from day 1! It is a very friendly culture based on team work, diversity and respect.

  • 4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
