  • Lots of variety and always learnt new things.

  • I was very well supported during the week and we were often given the chance to ask questions.

  • HR were very supportive in giving advice and tips as well as the business reps.

  • Learnt many useful skills with an emphasis on teamwork, presentation, networking and negotiation practice.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Gained insight into every business area over the week with lots of opportunities to build up skills and meet new people. We were very rarely bored and kept on our toes.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Very exciting and dynamic. People were very friendly and relaxed at the same time but there was a healthy sense of competition.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was a lot of personal training mainly on teamwork, presentation and networking skills. I feel a lot more competent and confident now.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I think perhaps we saw things through rose-tinted glasses at times but with an insight there's not much time to discover the full role anyway.

  • We were given the opportunity to meet many business representatives who displayed the company culture as well as quiz them directly in panels etc.

  • Perhaps more emphasis could be put on the skills required for each role and the day to day tasks of each role.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was given accommodation in London as well as reimbursed for peak time travel to and from work.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, everyday we had multiple networking opportunities for example at dinners, drinks and breakfasts.

  • Very good although at times it would've been nice to have more relaxed networking sessions.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes, we discovered the on site gym and all about the employee networks.
