About You
I really really enjoyed teaching experience and working with disabled children
I was treated with respect by all other adults but didn't really feel like I was needed there (which is understandable). They had to "make up" some tasks for me to do.
Any questions or queries I had we always answered honestly. Didn't really get much guidance
It definitely helped solidify my interest in teaching and gave me more focus for it
The Company
Didn't really have structure, I was given a timetable but I didn't teach that much, many sat in in lessons.
It was very fun, especially working with the disabled children
I made a few power points but I already could do that before I was there.
I already knew what it would be like as I was still a pupil in school so from my own experience. They gave some insight into the extra work behind just teaching
Not really.
Everything Else
It was voluntary work experience
none
Wasn't any (n/a for this type of experience)
No.
Yes, if they are interested in teaching, it is definitely worth going to see a different school's approach.
