The Role
I had a fantastic time and got along really well with my team.
I felt that everyone understood that whilst I was still learning I could be valuable to them in assisting and supporting on projects.
I was allocated a supervisor who i had weekly meetings with, as well as a graduate buddy who showed me the ropes and helped me if I had any questions.
I was given one long term task to do as well as shorter tasks throughout the internship, this meant that if at anytime I finished the immediate task I was working on, I could revert back to the longer term project.
As my team were so busy, the longer term project I was given was solely my own work and was just checked by my supervisor at the end. This made me feel like I was really helping and contributing to the team.
The internship I undertook led to a fast track interview and a few months later an early job offer, this meant I did not have to go through any other application processes and that I could concentrate on my studies.
The Company
I worked alongside 3 graduates who were of a similar age to myself.
I was given an introductory package with everything I needed to know as well as having a supervisor and buddy throughout the process.
We had a full days training on presentation and communication skills and were then set a group presentation project to present to a panel of judges in order to hone the skills we learnt.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I started my job in September this year.
The Culture
There were 14 interns in total and we had regular social events both organised by JLL and between ourselves.
Obviously being in Central London means things can be fairly pricey but the current graduates were able to point us towards fairly cheap places to go.
We were out and about every week.
Whilst I was there JLL hosted a charity 5 Km run, they also hosted a graduate drinks event so that we could socialise with the current graduates.
