The Role
Really good experience, gained a good insight into commercial real estate and the day-to-day role of a surveyor. A great balance between work and social events.
Very welcoming but perhaps over-estimated my ability at times.
Whenever I needed help with a task or wanted general advice/insight the team were very accomodating.
I always had a very varied list of things to do in one day, many of which were hands on and took me away from the office to properties and exposure to clients. I had a good mix of ongoing projects and immediate work.
I was thrown in at the deep end from day one, although at times challenging it gave me great experience and taught me an awfull lot- even if I was sometimes learning from my mistakes.
Not only did I learn and develop practical/echnical surveying skills but my professional skill set was constantly challenged and therefore improved- especially my organisation, interpersonal, problem-solving and presentation skills.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly and involved me with what was going on.
Very well organised from the correspondance before you start untill you leave. Everything was set up for us when we arrived- laptops, security pass, information, internship timetable of events/activities.
eg. presentation and negotiation training
