    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Not massively technical, but I was given a great project to work on and lots of independence.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I'd just come out of school so I was quite surprised at how much I was valued

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was left to my own devices a lot of the time, but help was available when I needed it.

  • It varied - some days very busy, others very quiet

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Given that I had just come straight out of school, quite a lot!

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • They haven't really helped that much yet as we haven't covered the relevant topics at uni, but I'm sure they will do when I start work later on.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very focussed and not that much 'office banter'

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It varied - it started fairly chaotically but got much better. It was organised by YINI, who did a great job.

  • Really not all that much to be honest

  • Glasgow's ok!

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Didn't really go out that much! I was living at home and all my mates had disappeared off to uni!

  • Very very little
