    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very intense work environment and long hours Interesting tasks Nice and accessible senior people Great location Good training and feedbacks/progress process

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • People were very nice and accessible, even senior ones. If you quickly show your ability they trust you and give you interesting and important tasks you can manage on your own. People are friendly and willing to spend some time with you outside working hours.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Strong feedbacks culture: helps see your mistakes, ways of improvement and strenghts. HR and bankers are always available whenever you contact them and want to see them. People are willing to answer all the questions you may have.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Working hours can be very long and you can have a lot to do but you knew it before starting and that's what you came for. As long as you are conscious of that before joining and ready to make sacrifices for your work, it is not an issue. Just think about it before joining and be honest with yourself.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As long as you show your ability and demonstrate good skills, people will trust you and let you manage as much as you can. It is a "as much as one can do" culture: it does not matter that you are only an intern if you are already good enough to handle some analyst-level tasks.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Good corporate finance principles seen during the internship that will be useful for classes. Excellent ppt and excel using knowledge acquired that will be useful for any task/courses in the future.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Working atmosphere so not the funniest place ever but people are really nice and willing to spend some time with you outside working hours

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Excellent first week dedicated to training Continuous training sessions over the course of the internship Networking/farewell events Formal review sessions

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A lot of time is spent for your training and making sure you like what you are doing and want to come back. People are always reachable and willing to help.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • 80% of their new hires are former interns. Summer internship is the best way to get a full time here.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • You meet people from all over the world and you have many occasions to spend some time with them and make really good friends.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is a very expensive city: accommodation, food, transports... everything is very expensive!

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Do not really have time for that and you prefer to rest when you have time. The City is not the best place to go out

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • You are very busy and do not have a lot of time for activities outside of work

    2/5
