    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a real challenge with lots of early mornings and late nights!

  • Some employees made a real effort to give us valuable things to do but at the same time it is difficult in a bank without us having done training or passed our FSAs/

  • We were given a huge amount of support!

  • Extremely busy, never bored!

  • Again, it is difficult to give us much responsibility as we have not yet taken our FSAs.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I developed extreme efficiency skills and pushed myself to the max which is something I will put into use for the rest of my life. Also, the technical skills I developed will help me so much in my final year at university in my finance classes.

  • It was a trading floor so there was always something exciting going on!

  • very well organised!

  • They invest A LOT in their interns!

  • Subsidised/Company Gym

  • We do not find out for a few weeks for sure but it is looking good!

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • yes, very good, the whole intern class was a very nice class and we organised socials!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • city of london! expensive!

  • again, city of london!

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We had a Community Teamwork day and some people joined sports teams!
