  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really well organised internship, interesting work, good amount of work too.

  • Felt part of the team from the start. My work was valued which was a big boost to my enjoyment of the internship.

  • Good support on the whole. Assigned a mentor & buddy as points of contact.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was working on my own project, so I was as busy as I wanted to make myself. Just progressed at my own pace most of the time. Occasionally required to get code written in a certain time-frame.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • My work was important to the team, but I didn't have enough responsibility to screw things up.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Very valuable experience. Great to get to know what it's like to work in a large organisation like this. Technical skills will also be very useful.

  • Fairly relaxed atmosphere. The occasional tense moments when things go wrong.

  • Very well run by HR. Good events both during work time and outside of work.

  • First week was entirely training. Then there were also a few training days during the internship.

  • A lot of technology interns are offered full-time positions after the internship.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Team organised drinks once a month. Plenty of other interns to get to know and socialise with.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Socialising is predictably expensive in London.

  • Reasonable if you know where to go.

  • There are lots of charity/sporting etc activities going on.
