    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Excellent experience all round. I learnt and gained so much from it.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The great nature of all the other employees and people I worked with was really taken for granted. Looking back I couldn't have been treated any better.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Excellent support, training and reviews throughout the year.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I got very busy very quickly - which I really enjoyed as i didnt want a year of twiddling my thumbs. If ever I wanted more work it was always available.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given alot of responsibility within the accounts I worked on. Especially after i requested to have more - the business really reacted and gave me something substansial.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The experience will be invaluable. I know what areas of business I love, hate and would want to work in at some point in the future. My degree will also benefit from the experience.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was very busy at the begining of the week. However the end of the week was used for customer visits so the office was always very quiet by Ffriday.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Excellent set up, enrollment and managment.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Lots of training - so much i couldn't manage to do it all. Which says enough about how prepared the company is to invest in you.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • With over 10 interns working in the building i was in, there was a great social scene to get involved with.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Less expensive than London, but the rental was quite expensive.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • It was okay, with 2 universities based in Reading there is plenty to do.

    3/5

  • Yes, many sports clubs, team meetings, and other social events including a charity golf day.
