    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I hated it. I found the long talks boring and the firms culture was not as welcoming as other firms ive been to

    1/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Not valued at all- I felt like I was something the cat dragged in, and I was being looked down on because of my lower educational status/social class compared with the other interns

    1/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Apart from the general guidance given to the whole group through the presentations, there was little opportunity for one on one guidance or guidance in smaller groups

    2/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Not a lot, except for in terms of career decisions- we got no feedback on our performance at specific tasks, or a chance to develop skills such as presenting, though there were some team/group tasks

    2/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well structured- everything ran smoothly and went as planned- following the outline given to us

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • There were elements of fun during the group exercises and business games, but overall the atmosphere was very professional and serious.

    2/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Not a lot- I felt like it was down to us to impress the firm rather than for the firm to impress us.

    2/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Very well, this was not only put across through the talks and presentations, but also from talking to employees at the networking events.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Very well, through the whole attitude of the firm and the employees, as well as the information gained from the talks and the networking events

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • very useful- I gained a lot of information about all the different areas I could work in, as well as the culture of the firm.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was reimbursed for my travel, however I was not allowed to stay in the hotel with the rest of the interns as I already live in London

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes there were 2 networking events, and we were able to meet a wide range of employees. We also had a mentor who had newly joined

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • ok- we were not told in advance that we would have to stay late one night for an event.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • A bit, although the focus was mainly on the business areas

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • It was useful in finding out about a career path, but it was not enjoyable

    1/5
