About You
The scheme was challenging but very rewarding.
Everyone was always very friendly and supportive. The extent to which you feel valued depends on what you put in.
The second week was extremely busy so it was hard to receive guidance, but it was still given if I asked.
I learnt a lot about the details and structure of a global law firm.
The Company
There was a large amount of structure with plenty of events and assessments planned.
Although there weren't many social events, the atmosphere of the firm is welcoming and inclusive.
There were different departmental talks so we were able to gain an insight into each department. Feedback was always given on tasks which made development easier.
The role of trainees was clear and there was a lot of effort put in to making you feel like one.
Although I have a good idea, only being there for 2 weeks makes it difficult to get a feel for the culture within each department.
The scheme was a valuable insight into what it is like to work for a law firm.
Everything Else
The pay was one of the best for a vacation scheme.
There were social events such as the office summer party, and the firm in general is very open to you meeting people during your time there.
There weren't many networking events.
There was not much of an emphasis on opportunities outside of work.
The scheme was busy but this was a benefit as it ensured that I felt fulfilled. There was plenty of opportunity for teamwork and to show your strengths.
