    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Truly a fantastic week, in which I made many friends as well as contacts that will come in useful in the future.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The firm really wanted to treat the week as the first stage in joining it, so we were given ample chances to speak with staff as well as advice on how to succeed in completing this goal.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I felt that there was always a lot of staff members there to guide us through each of the activities so in that sense - help was there when needed.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Builds on what I have learnt so far in my course. The case study really was a good example of how real life M&A operated.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Timetabled from start to finish, it was clear that they had been through the programme on several other occasions. There was a good mix of activities that kept everyone occupied.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Surprised at how well I got along with many of the people there. Definitely a strong rapport between participants, which made the time there more enjoyable.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Really allowed us to understand each section of the firm and how it operated - thus putting us in a better position to pick the area that would interest us in the future. They considered this week as the first step in a long relationship with us.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • This was communicated clearly through the presentations that were shown as well as just speaking with the staff during the networking sessions.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • It was clear by the end of the week what time of firm BoA was. I really appreciated the genuine and frank answers given by the analysts - refreshing to hear!

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Made me realise that this is the direction I want to be headed in. Also made me aware of areas to work on between now and applying for an internship.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was reimbursed travel costs.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • A lot of opportunity to speak with HR, analysts, associates, VPs, MDs, essentially everyone on the corporate ladder!

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Enjoyable for the most part, although I had almost run out of things to ask by the end of the week. A more formal dinner was a stand-out event for me.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • The staff apparently engage in a lot of social activities in terms of sports and cultural events. This was good to know - provided you had time to participate that is.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Great event where you can start to build up a network within the industry, more importantly, to learn more about whether the financial sector is right for you.

    5/5
