The Role
It was enjoyable however stressfull at certain times. This however was a good learning opportunity
I had very supportive colleagues who made me feel comfortable and valued.
My line manager was very helpfull and had her training was structured and beneficial.
My days were very busy, there was always something to do. Sometimes there was not enough time to do everything.
I had several departments to look after and many responsibilities.
Everything i learnt with M&S will help me and benefit me at university and throughout my career.
The Company
Busy, rushed, there was humour and conversations however most of the time managers were busy doing their own tasks and so conversations were at a minimum level.
I felt cared for as there were packs put together for myself and my colleagues, there were several courses available for us to go on and we had a special internal website that was used as a guide for our learning.
The company trained me and made me into a successfull manager. They also offered me a job at the end of my degree.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
I have been given an unconditional job offer.
The Culture
I had fellow graduate trainees in my store and we helped each other out often.
As i am used to living in Edinburgh i only incurred an extra cost in traveling, which was not too bad.
Good bars and clubs, something for everyone.
I did not get involved in activities outside of my work however i did participate in new store openings, events and other activities within the business.
