About You
The two weeks were a valuable insight into how the Firm operates. They gave all the interns a great deal of responsibility from the start. This was daunting at first, but we all quickly learned what was expected of us.
The Firm has a very friendly atmosphere and everybody is valued.
The two weeks were full of very useful workshops that enabled us to learn skills that could be applied both during this placement and in the wider world (e.g. negotiation workshops, group exercises, practice area talks).
The most important skill I learned was to prioritize efficiently. This is a skill that I will take with me when I leave the office.
The Company
Very well structured indeed. The assessments were spread throughout the two weeks and we had practice area talks each day.
Very friendly and supportive.
The Firm invests a huge amount of money and time in each intern. You are treated like a trainee.
Even though most of us had no knowledge of law, we were quickly thrown in at the deep end and expected to make sense of what was going on. This was daunting at the beginning.
The insight was really useful: the Firm is committed to giving its employees as much responsibility as they can cope with.
