The Role
It was an amazing insight into magazine journalism.
Some members of staff appreciated you more than other but overall they were full of thanks and praise.
They were really good at giving me advise on how to secure more placements and how to improve my writing.
Some days were manic and some were dead, it all depended on what was happening and how near the deadline we were. Overall it was a happy medium and the tasks were fun!
Quite a lot, on my first day I assisted on a very high profile shoot, literally thrown in at the deep end but I loved it and it was good of them to trust me with the responsibility to early on.
Beyond measure, it opened up an entirely new world for me and has really got me on the road to securing my dream career.
The Company
Very lively at times, its a big open plan office shared with other magazines so there is always a birthday, pregnancy party etc or just general good humour and lots of Friday feeling!
Very well organised! I knew what my responsibilities were and where I should be at all times. Everything was explained clearly on the first day, in a manual.
They didn't so much invest in me but they got me involved in everything they could be it online writing, assisting on shoots or taking part in vlog hair tutorials. They really look after you and make the experience something you can take away.
Whilst there are rarely any vacancies I would definitely love to work here!
The Culture
Its what you make it really, we had a good group but I heard stories of previous groups having a divide or arguments.
There wasn't a social element as such, expensive as it central London.
No idea, didn't get to experience it.
No not at all.
