  • Challenging but with excellent support from colleagues.

  • Colleagues kept me updated on the impact of my work within the wider system, along with including me in social events held outside of work.

  • Always available for questions and answered helpfully.

  • Workload increased steadily to fairly high as I learnt more, however it was always manageable and enjoyable.

  • Steadily increasing level of responsibility. By the end of the internship I was working on important projects reporting directly to stakeholders outside of the main team.

  • Learnt important time and people management skills, along with significantly developing my programming knowledge.

  • A great office environment, friendly but focused.

  • The placement was fairly well organised, with some minor hiccups in event organisation.

  • Frequent seminars on how to get the best out of the internship/work, along with practice to improve soft skills such as presentations.

  • Received a job offer at the end of the internship, definitely intend to return.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • A good social scene both at company-organised intern events and at the frequent events organised by interns.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Pretty expensive, central London.

  • Similarly, brilliant nightlife as central London.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Some events were organised for activities beyond parties outside of work. Volunteering in a community garden, a charity run and a football tournament for example.
