The Role
Nice people, always some work to be done and very practical (which for me is a plus).
Everyone was friendly, but there was a sense of hierarchy.
Given good instructions and advice, but also left to use my initiative.
I had daily tasks as well as an ongoing project and also asked to do other jobs throughout the placement.
I was given responsibility for the tasks I was set and for progress of the project, however my manager did check on my progress.
I was given the chance to follow a training course and develop communication, time management and prioritisation skills.
The Company
With many placement students working for the company everyone got on really well and there was a lot of fun and jokes
Well organised, I started working straight away and was given a project to work on for the year.
They gave me a chance to follow a training programme and also sent me out on site to give an experience of site work.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Employment prospects with the company are there, however it is not in the career path i would like to take.
The Culture
Very good social aspect with spending most lunchs together, trips to mc donalds and after work meetups.
I lived with my parents and commuted to work as a cheaper alternative to living close to the placement
There was a fair bit to offer and a good variety.
Lots of clubs with in the business park and around the placement.
