    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really good, was an intense week but learnt so much and got a second year internship offer :)

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • We mostly listened to presentations for the hole time, so colleague wise it was more that they would come in, give the presentation answer any questions then leave. However all the fun things arranged for the evenings meant as a group us insight interns started to gel really well

    2/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Not really applicable - it was all listening to presentations or doing really simple tasks, that you could never get out of your depth

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The hole day for normal working hours was planned out, however you weren't under any pressure and there was a lot of time for breaks. The evenings were all planned too (cocktail making sessions etc..) so we had long days, but they weren't intense work wise

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not at all, we were the lowest entry people in the hole office and our work reflected that. Infact you aren't given any responsibility, its all just a networking chance to try and get an internship for next summer and some contacts within the firm

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learnt so much about various goldman thing, but the biggest eye opener was just meeting people, seeing the offices and feeling the atmosphere of the office

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Much less stressed than I thought it would be. Its not like the movies or those stories you hear. Everyone is just chilled out, relaxed and normal human beings!

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was really well structed, everything planned out to the smallest detailed - full marks in this department, as you would expect with anything Goldman related

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The hole thing was targeted towards our development - I learnt and developed so many non class room skills

    5/5
