The Role
Overall, I greatly enjoyed the placement.
I felt valued by my colleagues.
My managers offered a huge amount of support and guidance.
I would have preferred to have been more busy on a day-to-day basis.
I was given a significant amount of responsibility during my placement.
I would have liked to have been pushed slightly more and exposed to more aspects which would have contributed to my skills development.
The Company
The office was quite relaxed, however was slightly too quiet at times.
I think the placement could have been better organised. Particularly at the beginning, it was not well organised.
There was one CPD lecture which I attended during the placement.
I would not be rushing back to this company. Although my experience was good, the company was lacking in their perks which would attract an employee.
The Culture
Yes there was a reasonably good social scene in this company.
Not expensive.
There was little or no nightlife in this area.
There was the opportunity to become involved in the British Tunnelling Society Young Members' Group.
