The Role
Really enjoyed my time at Morgan Sindall I was made very welcome from the start and treated like a full time emplyee.
My colleagues made me feel welcome and valued my contribution to the job.
I was given lots of help from my direct manager and the site team.
The site QS gave me the correct amount of work and responsibility to keep my interested in the job. I did not expect such a large amount of responsibility when I began my placement.
I was given a larger proportion than I initially expected which I enjoyed, the site team were always there if I needed any help or support.
I learnt how to manage my time effectively, manage my work and also gained an excellent experience of being a QS on a large commercial project.
The Company
Good working atmosphere, also there was time to have a laugh.
once i arrived on my project I was left under the devices of my boss, he was very good at developing me and giving me a good workload.
I have been lucky to have received a sponsorship from my employer, I also attended course on first aid and fire safety which have developed me as a person.
Above 25 days holiday
Morgan Sindall have a good projected workload going forward so a job with them would be excellent.
The Culture
I was the only placement student on my project, but as some of the site team were living away from home there was plenty of opportunity to socialise with colleagues.
Lived at home during my placement.
The night-life was not great, but we did other activities such as go-carting
as the office running the job was from Durham it was too far for me to travel to get involved.
